    HHS Peer Ambassadors

The Peer Ambassadors are a group of upperclassmen who have volunteered and attended training during the summer to provide outreach to their younger peers.  Their primary focus is on building relationships, fostering collaboration, and increasing self-confidence.

Each Peer Ambassador meets with their small group of freshmen during Freshman Orientation and throughout the year.  They also welcome upper and underclassmen who enter HHS from other districts. They visit the 8th Graders at HMS, GMMS and Allamuchy to speak with rising freshmen about the high school and conduct a question and answer session during these visits.  The 8th Grade Tour in May/June is also run by the Peer Ambassadors.

In addition to working with students entering Hackettstown High School, the Peer Ambassadors also collected jeans and toiletries for homeless teenagers in the area.

Participation in the Peer Ambassador Program requires a commitment of time, dedication, and responsibility. Students who participate are role models in a position of leadership.  They maintain honor roll status throughout the year and make a pledge to be alcohol and substance free.
